Mr. Allen is an associate attorney in the litigation and subrogation department at the Law Offices of Jan Meyer & Associates, P.C. Prior to joining the firm, Doug was an associate in the Tax Department of Skoloff & Wolfe, P.C., where he co-authored an article for New Jersey Lawyer Magazine on the subject of property tax appeals. In addition, he served as guardian ad litem while representing a pro bono client in a termination of parental rights case in the Essex County Family Court. After law school, Doug served as the law clerk to the Honorable Patrick DeAlmeida, Presiding Judge of the Tax Court of New Jersey.
During law school, Doug interned for the Honorable Claire Cecchi, at the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. In addition, he interned with the United States Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey, The Office of the Attorney General for the State of New York, FINRA, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
Doug earned his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2015, where he was a member of the Seton Hall Legislative Journal and won Best Oral Argument for his Appellate Advocacy section. Doug earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
